The laser is capable of producing a plasma hotter than matter in the center of the Sun.

Many studies in the field of fundamental physics, elementary particle physics and quantum mechanics require the creation of extreme conditions in an environment of experimentation. These conditions are very low temperature, on a tiny fraction of a degree higher than the temperature of absolute zero, or $ CUT $ ultrahigh temperature is many times greater than the temperature of the material at the center of our sun. And one of the tools, allowing to obtain an extremely high temperatures, a laser Trident Laser, located in the National Laboratory of Los Alamos, pulse power is equal to 200 trillion watts, and which is able to light the tiny stars from the hot white plasma, similar to that which can be seen on pictures shown here.
                  Лазер способный производить плазму

The pulses of invisible infrared laser light Trident Laser, which come from the bottom of the experimental setup are focused on a target of a metal foil, whose size is only one micrometer. The pulse energy of the laser beam instantly vaporizes and turns cloud foil metal into a cloud of ionized gas of high temperature plasma at a temperature a few parts per trillion seconds several times greater than the temperature in the center of the sun. At this temperature, the electrons are accelerated to speeds close to the speed of light, heavy and massive metal ions are accelerated to energies of tens of millions of electron volts.

In the above image, except for the central bright cloud of hot plasma can see a lot of other things that appear as a result of spillover effects from the interaction of high-energy X-ray radiation and particles with air molecules and the surface material of the experimental setup.

All measuring devices placed around the plasma clouds are illuminated not only plasma but also in green, is the light of the second harmonic laser Trident Laser and produced by nonlinear processes that occur at the point of contact of plasma with laser light. Orange and reddish streaks that "ricochet" from the surface of the surrounding objects, some of which have the form of intertwined laces, are tiny particles of the target material, which at the time did not have time microburst evaporate and turn into plasma.
